Man on the elevator compliments me on my @billykirkinc bag. he asks me who makes it. I said its Billy Kirk. They’re from jersey city. He then tries to correct me saying. No I think its made by Amish. Shockingly I reply oh yes they are put together by the Amish. But the guys in who make it are from jersey city. I say I’m surprised you’ve heard of Billy Kirk. The middleaged man...

Billy kirk
Walking from e train to port authority this evening, a random guy (possibly gay) came up to me and said, “is that bag billy kirk?” I replied, “good eye” He retorted, “I have the longer one. It’s a little heavy. Cause of the metal frame.” I answered, “yeah but it’s worth it” He replied, “good taste” I said thanks and we parted...

i have a incredibly low tolerance for doing things i dont enjoy. i think maybe i’ve been too spoiled with options, and things that i like doing…that now when ive found something that doesn’t suit me, i really hate it. its turning me into an angry and sarcastic person. and the thing is, its not…
Interesting Article on Why SF > NY →
chrislin182:
i don’t necessarily agree with all the points in this article, but it makes some interesting points about why startups thrive in silicon valley vs. ny (or any other city for that matter). like minded people attract like minded people. but it’s unfair to say all of ny is greedy and status-hungry, as there are tons of people here that are the complete opposite.
China Chalet
Last night we celebrated the glorious return of our ex-pat friend, Susan. Upon arriving we headed straight to her favorite Jersey establishment, China Chalet. A nod to Sichuan cuisine; the food was alright. As I recall it used to be better, but it’s still mighty delicious. We sweated from the cornucopia of spicy peppers, we got drunk on cheap wine and we laughed until our abs became...

Dogma: Grilling/BBQing
There are various definition of barbecue. The noun, barbecue, is a generally accepted term where you go hang out with friends, drink beer, and eat grilled or smoked foods.
The term, to barbecue, is often confused with the term to grill. The often accepted defintion of BBQing is when meats are smoked at a low temperature (200-300* F) over a long period of time. While grilling is often done at...
Every morning there is a middle aged indian couple waiting at the bus stop. Once the bus arrives the husband gives the wife a peck and says goodbye. Then he walks back to his car. Everyday he does this. I wonder if he is retired or if he has to go back home then get dressed and go to work. Or maybe they’re ridiculously loaded and his wife just commutes into the city everyday for fun.

Commuting sucks ass. Woke up late, what happened to my alarm?!? huh blackberry? huh? Man, I miss those days when I didn’t need to wake up with an alarm. 3 years of natural sleeping bliss, 3 years of no naps. Now I take about 3 naps a day. 1. morning bus ride 2. lunch time 3. evening bus ride. Ridiculous, sleeping monster. I probably have parasites galore, chronic fatigue syndrome,...

I got my #VFF yesterday! As people have mentioned before, vibrams can be used to pick up chicks! I wore them to Trader Joe’s last night, 15 minutes before they closed. No one said anything to me and I didn’t notice anyone staring at my feet.
There aren’t too many people commuting on a Saturday morning. I got onto the uptown 6 train. There was a pretty fat guy sleeping taking up...
don't use fabric softener on towels, vinegar is...
made a ghetto clothes line outside to line dry some bathroom towels. used fabric softener in the wash, i never use fabric softener. but apparently you’re NOT supposed to use fabric softener on towels. It makes the towels less absorbent. i gotta get some more vinegar. gah vinegar is good for everything.
