I got my #VFF yesterday! As people have mentioned before, vibrams can be used to pick up chicks! I wore them to Trader Joe’s last night, 15 minutes before they closed. No one said anything to me and I didn’t notice anyone staring at my feet.
There aren’t too many people commuting on a Saturday morning. I got onto the uptown 6 train. There was a pretty fat guy sleeping taking up 2-3 seats and no one around him. So I was standing next to him and wondering if he was homeless or just really tired and really chubby. At the next stop this beautiful black girl gets on. She was wearing this nice teal colored summer dress/outfit with a pretty purse with books/binders in it. Im guessing she was a college student. She had nice long hair in tight braids. So she starts staring at my feet, i look away, then back to her then away then back to her, then she looks at me, and asks me if theyre comfortable. I tell her theyre great even, but I didn’t tell her that my pinky toes felt a little awkward because they’ve been deformed by conventional tiny toe boxes. I tell her that i just got them and she asks a few more questions. She says shes read about them but never seen anyone actually with them. And that she was thinking about getting a pair. She looked pretty fit. She said that she was getting some joint pains from running and i told her about the supposed benefits of barefoot running. So we had a nice conversation for a few subway stops. I really should read that book on pick up artists. Pick up artist book + vibrams = ???? => profit!!!
Oh yeah, people used to talk to me about my folding bike too. I should ride that and wear #VFF, gah…
